Introduction to the Octagonal Tower: The Octagonal Tower is one of the main attractions in the Maoping Scenic Area. It is located behind the Xie Shengong Temple in Maoping Village, 16 kilometers southeast of Ninggang County, Jiangxi. It is home to important Red Army leaders such as Mao Zedong, Zhu De, and Chen Yi. All lived here. It was also the command center of the Fourth Army of the Red Army, and many important meetings on the future of the revolution and the construction of our army were held here.
Attractions here include: the former residence of Comrade Mao Zedong in the Bajiaolou, the former residence of Comrade Zhu De, the former site of the Soldiers Committee of the Fourth Army of the Chinese Red Army and the former residence of Comrade Chen Yi, the site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China on the Hunan-Jiangxi Border, the life exhibition of Yuan Wencai, Mao Zedong Ping Red Army Martyrs Tomb and other attractions.
