Introduction to the Bell and Drum Tower: It is located at the southern end of the east and west side halls, with the bell in the east and the drum in the west. The two floors are both cross ridges, surrounded by hills. The hills are embedded with brick carvings of four dragons playing with pearls. It has Tibetan Buddhist architectural characteristics. The iron bell originally hung in the bell tower was cast in the eighth year of Daoguang's reign (1828). The copper bell cast in early 2009 is now hung, and the bells sound louder and more melodious. The big drum on the Drum Tower was made in 1993.
