Introduction to Longquan Academy: Longquan Academy is located on the bank of Wenming Lake. It was built in the 19th year of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1754 AD). It is an institution with a long history and is famous in Jianghan. The original layout of the academy consisted of three halls, two halls, two rooms, and two pavilions. One hundred and thirty years later, two floors were added. In the 32nd year of Guangxu (AD 1906), Longquan Academy was renamed Longquan Middle School. It is now a key middle school in Hubei Province and a key cultural relics protection unit in Jingmen City.
Baihe Pavilion (formerly known as Tingquan Pavilion), Xixin Pavilion, Yude Hall, Dongshan Thatched Cottage, Chunhua Hall, Qiushi Hall, Jingye Zhai, Lequnzhai, Fangtang Bookstore, etc. in Longquan Academy. Looking up at the hillside of Xiangshan Mountain from Longquan Academy, there are Yangzhi Pavilion and Guande Pavilion. On the back slope of Longquan are the Quan Shen and Xishan Temples. Looking at Yushan Mountain opposite Xiangshan Mountain in the distance, there is Ganyu Pavilion. Bailong Mountain, which is higher than Yushan Mountain, has Bailongguan, Lincang Pavilion and Hanting are collectively called the Ten Pavilions of Longquan.
