Introduction to the canal head gate: As the head gate of the main canal, the canal head gate is the largest diversion gate of the Zhanghe Reservoir. The main, second, third and fourth main canals all distribute water from this gate. The construction of the canal head gate started in February 1958. , basically completed in April 1962.
