Bigan introduction: Bigan (about 1093 BC - 1030 BC), whose surname was Qian, was the son of Shang Wang Taiding, a nobleman of the Yin and Shang Dynasties. He was loyal and patriotic throughout his life. During his more than 40 years in politics, he assisted two generations of emperors of the Yin and Shang Dynasties. He was praised as the "first loyal minister". He advocated the reduction of taxes and corvee, encouraged the development of agricultural and animal husbandry production, promoted smelting and casting, and enriched the country and strengthened the army. At the end of the Shang Dynasty, the tyrannical King Zhou killed him, and Bigan was his uncle.
