Introduction to the Hong Kong Return Monument: At the corner of the Golden Bauhinia Square stands the 20-meter-high Hong Kong Return Monument, echoing the Golden Bauhinia bronze statue. The monument is made up of 206 stone slabs, each representing each year from 1842 to 2047. Six of the circular stone slabs are made of light-colored granite, representing 1842, 1860, 1898, 1982, 1984 and 1990 respectively.
