Introduction to Qianzhou: The ancient city of Qianzhou in Jishou has a history of more than 4,200 years. During the Xia and Shang Dynasties, there were indigenous ancestors living there, and later there were the Ji people, Ya people, and Miao people. During the Qin and Han Dynasties, this was an important commercial port and wharf. Post stations and post roads traveling from south to north intersected here. Water transportation was developed and it was a relatively developed economy at that time. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it gradually became the political, economic, military and cultural center of the Miao frontier.
