Introduction to Wangniang Twin Towers: The twin towers were built on the top of Ziyun (south) and Fuyun (north) peaks of Fangshan Mountain. They existed in the Northern Song Dynasty and are 12 stories high. It was destroyed by a typhoon in the tenth year of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty (1503), and was built 60 years later to a height of 5 feet. It was rebuilt in the 11th year of Xianfeng reign of Qing Dynasty (1861). In the second year of Guangxu (1876), Zheng Xi, the county magistrate, raised funds to repair it and built it into a seven-level, six-sided brick pagoda, with six levels now in existence. The twin towers, also known as Wenbi and Huagai, are each 10 meters high and represent the twelve sceneries of "Twin Peaks in the Clouds". People in the county often use the two peaks to observe the weather.
