Introduction to the World War II Monument: The monument is located on the top of the Zhongmenghu Mountain and was built in 2003. The base covers an area of 324 square meters and is 21 meters high (symbolizing the 21st century). The entire monument is divided into four parts and has five contents (meaning 1945). The title of the monument was inscribed by General Chi Haotian. After the end of World War II, the 15th Border Guard Corps of the Japanese Kwantung Army refused to implement the order of unconditional surrender and resisted with the help of Tiger Head Fortress. The battle continued until August 26. Therefore, Tiger Head Fortress is recognized by historians as the "end of World War II."
