Introduction to the Imperial Palace Garden: The Imperial Palace Garden (Kokyogaien) is the emperor's living place. It was built in the 18th year of Tensho (1590 AD) by Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first general of the Tokugawa Shogunate. The Imperial Palace is a traditional Japanese building with green tile roofs, white walls and brown copper pillars. There are many palaces in the palace, and the main activities of the royal family and diplomatic ceremonies are held in the "Song Pavilion" in the main hall. In addition, there is the famous Double Bridge outside the palace.
