Introduction to Huabiao: The stone pillar is also called Huabiao and consists of three parts. The head of the column is covered with a round cover, forming a lotus seat, which was a popular decoration in the Liang Dynasty. There is a ward off evil spirits standing on the seat, with its forelimbs leaping, its head raised to the sky, its mouth open as if to roar, the shape is lifelike. The middle part of the column is cylindrical, and there are 24 claw-shaped prismatic stripes carved around the column. The center of the stone pillar is carved with an animal face pattern, with a circle of rope patterns on top and a pattern of two dragons playing with pearls on the bottom. Two lizards are carved on the lower column base. The entire stone pillar has a unique shape and is quite elegant and beautiful in the south of the Yangtze River.
