Introduction to the Tomb of the Revolutionary Martyrs of 1911: In October 1911, members of the alliance headed by Zhang Zhongduan prepared for an armed uprising in Henan. Due to betrayal by traitors, the uprising was suppressed by the Qing court, and eleven people including Zhang Zhongduan died heroically. In 1934, the remains of the martyrs were moved to Nanguan, Kaifeng. In 1981, the Kaifeng Municipal People's Government moved the tombs of the Eleven Martyrs here.
