Introduction to karez: Along with the Great Wall and the canal, it is one of the three major engineering projects in ancient China. It is a special irrigation system with an ingenious structure. It consists of four parts: shaft, culvert, open channel and waterlogging dam (a small reservoir). The most famous karez in the folk garden is the Miyimu Aji Karez. It is 5 kilometers long and has a deepest depth of 80 meters. It can irrigate 70 acres of land every day and has a history of 200 years. It is the Miyimu karez of the Uighur people. ·It was excavated by Aji, so it was named after it.
