Introduction to the Zaimei Festival: In the northwest corner of Sarusawa Pond, there is a peculiar shrine built with its back to the torii gate and its front facing the torii gate. There is a legend in the Yamato Monogatari that during the Nara period, a naughty girl drowned herself in Saruzawa Pond because she lost the favor of the emperor. In order to comfort her soul, people built this Caishen shrine. Unexpectedly, the shrine has a spirit, and they couldn't bear to see that the pond where Cainv threw herself into changed its direction overnight. On the day of the Saime Matsuri, there will be a flower fan offering parade starting at 5 p.m., and the priests of Kasuga Taisha Shrine will hold a solemn sacred ceremony starting at 6 p.m. At 7 p.m., two orchestral boats will float in Sarusawa Pond amidst the music played by Nanto Raku. Sail leisurely among the more than 40 floating lamps, and finally throw the flower fan into the pool.
