Introduction to Queen’s University: Queen’s University is the second oldest university in Ontario. It was established in 1841 according to the royal charter of Queen Victoria. It was originally a church-sponsored school and became a non-church school in 1912. Queen's University is renowned for its excellent teaching quality and colorful history. One of the most famous historical events is undoubtedly the famous speech delivered by President Roosevelt when he received an honorary degree here in 1938, guaranteeing that Canada would not be invaded by the Nazis. Queen's University is known as the "Princeton of Canada".
