Introduction to underground fortifications: Under the luxurious palace of Kronborg Palace is a huge underground fortification, which can be used to accommodate thousands of soldiers. It also has large and small mud pools for storing salted meat and fish and other food storage warehouses. When Denmark was at war, the castle's underground passages were used as shelters for soldiers, and the surrounding arrow stacks could be used to shoot enemies on the ground. There is a secret passage in the king's bedroom. In the event of an accident, the king can go directly to the underground fortifications and evacuate safely.
Inside the fortification is a stone statue named "Holger of Denmark" wearing military uniform and sleeping with an arrow in his hand. According to legend, he was a warrior who fought against foreign enemies during the pirate period and made great military exploits. Although he fell asleep calmly when the country was peaceful, he still held his sword in his hand and was ready to wield it to defend the country at any time. Andersen once described this legendary hero in his fairy tale.
