Introduction to the Guandu Diamond Pagoda: The Diamond Pagoda is located in Guandu Ancient Town, Kunming City. It was built in 1458. The upper part of the tower was destroyed by the earthquake in 1666, and was rebuilt in 1696. In 1982, it was renovated and iron fences were built around it for protection. The tower is now a national key cultural relic protection unit. There are five pagodas in the complex. The main pagoda is 16.05 meters high and the four surrounding small pagodas are only 5 meters high. It is the only pagoda in my country that is entirely made of sand and stone.
