Introduction to the Yellow River Ancient Elephant Hall: The Yellow River Ancient Elephant Hall covers an area of 409 square meters and displays the world-famous Yellow River ancient elephant fossil skeleton model. The elephant was excavated in Heshui County, Gansu Province in 1973. Its scientific name is Stegodon Shishii. It is the largest and best-preserved Stegodon fossil discovered so far.
