Introduction to Jingdezhong Temple: Jingdezhong Temple is the main hall of the imperial temple, with double eaves and verandah style, 21 meters high, nine rooms wide and five rooms deep, symbolizing the "Nine-Five-Year Respect" of imperial etiquette. The interior of the main hall was restored to its original state during the Qianlong period. There are seven niches dedicated to the tablets of 188 Chinese emperors. The central niche contains the tablets of Fuxi, Huangdi and Yandi. The six niches on the left and right are dedicated to the Five Emperors and Xia Dynasty. There are 185 emperor tablets from the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, the Qiang Han Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty, the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, the Jin, Song, Yuan and Ming dynasties.
In the side halls on the east and west sides of Jingdezhong Temple, there are also memorial tablets of 79 virtuous ministers and generals from past dynasties, including Boyi, Jiang Shang, Xiao He, Zhuge Liang, Fang Xuanling, Fan Zhongyan, Yue Fei, and Wen Tianxiang.
