Introduction to Belem Tower: Belem Tower stands on the north bank of the Tejo River. The tower was built in 1500 and has a history of more than 500 years. Although it is called a tower, it is more like a small tower guarding the river. The entire tower is made of marble. Whenever the tide rises, the top tower appears to be floating on the river, floating unsteadily and as beautiful as a fairyland. It is the most gorgeous and elegant building among the countless monuments in Lisbon. Today, the Belem Tower has been turned into a museum, and the cannons and forts from that year are still on display on the first floor.
