Introduction to the natural environment: The Liujiang Basin is located at the foot of Yanshan Mountain to the north of Qinhuangdao City. The six square kilometers of the basin have gathered various geological phenomena over hundreds of millions of years. Strata from various geological eras and various depositional environments have been exposed. It is complete and layered, with clear stratigraphic unit boundaries and rich fossils. It is the epitome of the geological structure of North China. The three major rock types on the earth are fully exposed here, with a wide variety of rock types. The internal and external dynamic geological and landform landscapes are diverse, and many large rock formations are distributed in the area. Large and small caves contain a large number of mammal fossils; they are close to the coast, and are affected by the interaction between sea and land, forming a miniature landscape-like topography, which has strong ornamental value.
