Introduction to Shuidukou: Shuidukou was once a must-pass ferry for Tongjing Avenue and an important place for grain transfer during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was prominent in Qingjiangpu for a while. Historically, due to the inflow of the Yellow River, the Qingjiang estuary west of the Qingjiang Gate was silted up. So a wharf was opened beside the river. A car road is formed between the two rivers, and the intersection of the car road and the east-west cross street is called the "car road intersection". A ferry had to be built at the intersection of Tongba River and Chelukou Street, hence the place name "Shui Fukou". Nowadays, Shuidukou has become a ruins, and the monument wall erected beside the canal records its historical glory.
