Introduction to the Hof Church: The Hof Church (Hofkirche) is located on the shore of Lake Lucerne and is most famous for its beautiful spire and pipe organ made in the 17th century. In the 8th century, it was once a Benedictine monastery. The monastery was destroyed by fire in 1633 and rebuilt in 1645, becoming one of the most important Renaissance churches in Switzerland.
