Introduction to the Church of Jesus: Jesus Church (Jesuitenkirche) is across the Royle River from the old city hall. It was built in 1666-1667. The altar in the church is decorated with red marble and completed in 1681. It is the first church in Switzerland. A large Baroque religious building.
The eye-catching and representative two vault decorations outside the church were only renovated in the mid-18th century. The interior of the church is gorgeously decorated, especially the sacristy room and the treasury, which are the most ornamental.
