Introduction to Pang Tong: Pang Tong (179 AD - 214 AD), courtesy name Shiyuan and nickname Fengchu, was born in Xiangyang, Hubei Province and was extremely intelligent. After the Battle of Chibi, Liu Bei met Pang Tong on the recommendation of Zhuge Liang. After seeing his extraordinary talents, Liu Bei appointed Pang Tong to be in charge of governance, and he and Zhuge Liang were both military advisors. In the early summer of the 19th year of Jian'an (214), when Pang Tong followed Liu Bei to attack Chucheng, he was shot to death by an arrow at Luofengpo, Baima Pass, by the then city defender Zhang Ren. He was thirty-six years old at the time. Liu Bei felt very sorry for Pang Tong's death and buried him in Baima Pass. After Liu Bei proclaimed himself emperor in 222 AD, he posthumously named Pang Tong the Marquis of Guannei. Later, he was given the posthumous title of Jinghou, and a temple was built in front of his tomb to offer sacrifices.
