There are about 800 species of gymnosperms living in the world, belonging to 79 genera and 15 families. There are 29 species in 6 families, 14 genera and 29 species in the Gymnosperm Garden. The botanical garden remains green in winter, and is shaded by pine trees in spring and summer. In autumn, the golden ginkgo, pyracantha, cotinus, etc. alternate with the green pines, making it an important place for sightseeing, rest, and popular science education.
