Introduction to the Heroes Monument: The Heroes Monument in Syntagma Square was originally built in 1923 to commemorate the 3,000 Luxembourg soldiers who died in World War I. It was later destroyed during World War II and later rebuilt. And has a double meaning.
The rebuilt monument is 12 meters high. The goddess of victory holding a beautiful wreath in her hands and presenting it to the heroes on the top of the monument was created by local artist Klaus. The statue at the bottom of the monument records the glorious achievements of the heroes.
