Introduction to the Shimen Hanging Coffin: The Shimen Hanging Coffin is located in an extremely secluded valley in the west of Xiaoshimen Village, 70 kilometers west of Ningwu City, Shanxi Province. It is the earliest cliff burial group discovered so far north of the Yangtze River. It has archaeological research value. The hanging burial methods of Shimen hanging coffins can be roughly divided into cave type, suspension type, hanging pile type and plank road type.
