Introduction to the Earthquake Museum: Two catastrophic earthquakes occurred here in 518 AD and 1963, and many ruins can still be seen today. In order to commemorate the strong earthquake that occurred in 1963, the Macedonian Earthquake Museum was built on the original site of the old Skopje train station.
