Introduction to Albert: Prince Consort Albert (Prince Consort Albert, or Prince Albert) married Queen Victoria of England in 1840 and was a supporter of art, science and industry. He planned the Great Exhibition of 1851, and the profits were used to purchase all the land in London for the construction of the South Kensington Museum, schools and the Royal Albert Palace.
