Introduction to the Yamen of the Inspection Department: The ruins of the Yamen of the Min'an Inspection Department are now Fuzhou Min'an Primary School. The co-ordination office was built at the west gate of the ancient city of Min'an. The original inspection department moved out and was built on the east side of the river. The Inspection Department Office of Min'an Town was established from the Tang Dynasty to the fall of the Qing Dynasty. In the Qing Dynasty, it was the command organ of the Fujian and Taiwan military defense offices. The Yamen is now a building in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. It consists of a gate tower, a screen wall, a ceremonial hall, a main hall and a back hall, and three patios. It covers an area of 1,768 square meters. The main hall is 5 rooms wide and 4 rooms deep. It has a wind volcano wall and a bucket-type wooden frame on the top of a hard top, which is well preserved. There is a stone bowl in the courtyard from the sixth year of Yuanyou of the Song Dynasty (1091), the "British Army Invasion of Xiamen Alarm Monument" from the 22nd year of Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty (1842), and a laurel tree from the Song Dynasty in the backyard. It was listed as a district-level cultural relics protection unit in 1986 and a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit in 1992.
