Introduction to the Thousand Kilometers River Embankment Monument: The "Thousand Kilometers River Embankment Monument" is erected on the west side of the entrance to the "Minshui Garden" on Jiangbin Road, Fuzhou City. Fujian Province is criss-crossed by rivers, lakes and reservoirs, and the three river systems are well developed. During the flood season, sudden floods often cause huge losses to residents along the coast. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, long flood control embankments were built on both sides to protect the city's lifeline. After the reform and opening up, the South and North Riverside Avenues extending on the embankment have become the main transportation lines carrying the river to the sea. In recent years, as the city expands eastward and southward, the linear parks along the river running parallel to the embankment, collectively known as the North Park and South Park of Minjiang Park, have become the most beautiful scenery in the city.
