City Hall Introduction: Modena City Hall (City Hall) is located on Modena Grand Square (Piazza Grande), which has been the office of government personnel since 1046. Inside the town hall, there are statuettes from the 12th century. The statue is said to represent a noblewoman named Bona, who generously helped the poor; others believe it represents Matilda di Canossa, who was responsible for the construction of the cathedral.
