Introduction to Sanikaura: Sanikaura is a natural lake that stretches from north to south and is one of the eight scenic spots in Kanto. It covers an area of about 0.76 square kilometers, has a perimeter of about 8 kilometers, and the deepest point is 4.2 meters high. The bottom of the lake is sand and gravel, and it is crystal clear. It is surrounded by lush forests, surrounded by 36 peaks like a screen, and faces the Sea of Japan across a plain to the east. Legend has it that in ancient times, a Joseon king originally planned to visit this place for only one day. However, he was so happy with the beautiful scenery that he forgot to return. As a result, he postponed his stay for three days in total for sightseeing, hence this famous name.
