Introduction to Atsuta Shrine: Atsuta Shrine is located in the center of Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture. It is one of the three major shrines in Japan. It is a place used to enshrine the Kusanagi Divine Sword (Amanagaun Sword), one of the three great treasures and three sacred weapons passed down from successive emperors and symbolizing the succession of the throne. It has a long history, and this shrine is recorded in Japan’s oldest history book, the Kojiki.
