Introduction to Huxin Island: Huxin Island is located in the center of South Lake, with an area of 17 acres. In 1548 AD, the island was built with mud and earth, and the Yanyu Tower was moved to the island the following year. After the Qing Dynasty, buildings such as Qinghuitang, Guyunzhen, Xiaopenglai, Laixu Pavilion, Jianting Pavilion, Baomei Pavilion, East and West Imperial Stele Pavilions, and Fangzong Pavilion were successively built, forming an ancient garden architecture with Yanyu Tower as the main body. The clusters of pavilions, rockery corridors, ancient trees and inscriptions are well-proportioned and are typical Jiangnan gardens.
