
Introduction to the East and West Court Houses: The East and West Court Houses were built in the Qing Dynasty. During the Qing Dynasty, they served as the official, household, and ritual departments of the Liangjiang Governor-General's Office. During the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, they were used as a place for officials to wait for an audience with the King of Heaven. Later, they served as a military building for the Guard Corps of the Presidential Palace.
