Introduction to Qilin Gate: There is a stone beast on each side in front of the Qilin Gate, which looks like a unicorn, hence its name. This gate is set up for safety reasons. There is an original screen behind the gate that will connect the main gate tower and Zichao Tower. The central axis partition was later demolished in 1950. In order to show the majesty of the Chairman and the President, the Kirin Gate is usually closed and will only be opened when Chiang Kai-shek arrives. Others can only go around from both sides of the gate.
