Introduction to Nantong Museum: Nantong Museum was founded in 1905 by Zhang Jian, a pioneer of early modernization in China and the number one scholar in the late Qing Dynasty. It is the earliest museum in China. The museum is located on the bank of the Hao River in the southeast of Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, covering an area of 35 acres. Its collections are divided into four parts: real estate, history, fine arts, and education.
