Introduction to Shen Shou: Shen Shou (1874-1921) was born in Suzhou, the hometown of Suzhou embroidery. When she was sixteen or seventeen years old, she became a famous embroidery expert in Suzhou. In the 30th year of Guangxu's reign, her embroidery was presented as a gift for Cixi's 70th birthday. Cixi greatly appreciated it and wrote the words "福" and " longevity" in her own handwriting, and presented them to each other. Shen Xuezhi changed her name to Shen Shou from then on. Later, she taught at the Nvhong Training Institute founded by Zhang Jian, and from then on she carried forward Shen embroidery.
