Introduction to Castel Nuovo: Castel Nuovo (Italian: Castel Nuovo) is located opposite the port of Naples. It is also known as the Anjou Castle and is one of the famous landmarks in Naples. During the French rule from 1279 to 1284, the first king of the Kingdom of Naples, Charles I of the Angevin dynasty, moved the capital from Palermo to Naples and ordered French architects to build a new palace castle on the seaside. On December 13, 1294, Pope Reding V announced his resignation in the hall of the castle. There are five cylindrical towers on the city wall of Castel Nuovo. Between the two towers on the front is a triumphal arch later built by the Spanish in 1447. The door is decorated with marble that reflects the grand occasion of Alfonso's entry into the city of Naples in 1443. The relief looks very majestic and gorgeous. The main hall surrounded by the center of the tower is called the Hall of Nobles. According to legend, in 1487 AD, when the king held a grand wedding banquet to celebrate the marriage of his grandson, he arrested a group of noble members who opposed Aragon I in one fell swoop, and the Hall of Nobles got its name.
