Introduction to the top of Vomero: The top of Vomero is the best place to overlook Naples, where you can find the Monastery of San Martino and Castel Sant'Elmo. Visitors can take the V1 bus or take the Funicolare Centrale cableway up the mountain (the uphill and downhill cable cars close at 10 o'clock in the evening). Entry to Elmo Castle is free with the monastery ticket.
