Library Introduction: As of 2013, the National Taiwan University Library has a collection of 4,101,086 books, including 1,756,804 Chinese, Japanese, and Korean books, and 2,344,282 foreign language books; in addition, there are a total of 3,348,350 non-book materials. The collection of books and periodicals is mainly to meet the needs of teachers and students in teaching, research and learning, including books, periodicals, pamphlets, audio-visual materials, etc. in various fields of literature, science, law, medicine, industry, agriculture, management, public health, electrical machinery, and society. It is the library with the largest collection of materials in Taiwan. In addition, the museum has a collection of more than 50,000 rare ancient books and materials in Chinese and foreign languages, such as Danxin archives, Ming-dynasty thread-bound books, Ryukyu treasure cases, and Cradle of the West periodicals, etc., all of which are extremely valuable. In addition, there are quite a lot of documents on Taiwanese history, Southeast Asian studies, and Japanese documents from the Japanese colonial era.
