Introduction to French Architecture: During the 40 years of Spanish rule in New Orleans, two fires broke out in the French Quarter. The entire old city was almost burned down, and the French style was gone forever. Today, most of the old houses in the French Quarter are of Spanish architectural style. Only the French's romantic, luxurious and exquisite life attitude has taken deep root in New Orleans over time. They watch the changes in the wind and clouds and look at the vicissitudes of the world indifferently.
