Introduction to "The Journey to the West" and the sculpture of the Red Army Trumpeter: American journalist Edgar Snow's world-famous book "The Journey to the West" is a beautifully written and highly documentary reportage work. It truly records what was seen and heard during on-the-spot interviews in the revolutionary base area in northwest my country (the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region with Yan'an as the center) from June to October 1936. Most of the material in this book comes from first-hand information interviewed by the author, which truly reports to the world the situation of China and the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, as well as many Red Army leaders and Red Army generals.
