Introduction to Pensieve: Pensieve is an incredible tool used to preserve thoughts and memories in the mind. When Principal Dumbledore had too many thoughts to hold in his head, he would take out the extra thoughts and pour them into this basin. In the sixth grade, Dumbledore used this pensieve to let Harry understand Voldemort's past in order to find Voldemort's hidden Horcruxes.
