Introduction to Place Vendôme: Place Vendôme (Place Vendôme), one of the famous squares in Paris, is located between the Old Opera House and the Louvre Museum in Paris. It is a cut-angle rectangle, 224 meters long and 213 meters wide. The square was named after the residence of the Duke of Vendôme (1594-1665) was located here. The Duke of Vendôme was the illegitimate son of Louis XIV's grandfather, Henri IV, and was known as M. César or César de Bourbon (royal family). The architectural designer of the square was Jules Hardouin-Mansard (1646--1708). The foundation stone was laid in 1702, and the scale of the square was formed in 1720. The surrounding buildings are neat and uniform, with large arches on the ground floor, pediments on them, and dormer windows on the roofs.
