Introduction to Wanjiazhai: The Yellow River Wanjiazhai Water Conservancy Project (hereinafter referred to as the "Wanjiazhai Project") is located in the canyon of the Tuoketuo to Longkou reaches of the northern main stream of the Yellow River. It is one of the eight planned and developed projects in the middle reaches of the Yellow River. The first project in the cascade is also the starting point of Shanxi Province's project to divert people from the Yellow River to Shanxi Province. The left bank belongs to Pianguan County, Shanxi Province, and the right bank belongs to Jungar Banner of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Wanjiazhai is the largest water conservancy project in Shanxi. The reservoir area stretches for dozens of miles between Jinmeng Gorge. The high gorge leads to Pinghu Lake, the water of the Yellow River becomes clear, and the largest and highest pedestrian suspension bridge in Asia are all wonders of Wanjiazhai.
