Introduction to Da Lian Xiang: According to legend, the emperor of the Song Dynasty held a banquet, and a beggar who called himself Feng Qigong came to see him holding a bamboo stick. The emperor called Feng Qigong his savior and recruited him to the palace. At the banquet, the emperor invited Feng Qigong to perform a folk song. Feng Qigong used the beggar's stick in his hand to perform the performance by tapping up and down, left and right, and with his feet and hands. The emperor looked at it and praised its beautiful movements, and said that it would be better if it made noise. Immediately, the emperor rewarded Feng Qigong with a string of copper coins, made a "Lianxiang stick", and named Feng Qigong the master of Lianxiang. Later, playing Lianxiang stick was spread to the people, and because Feng Qigong was a beggar, he called Lianxiang stick "beggar stick".
Since the folk lotus flower originated from the emperor's reward, the common people regard lotus flower playing as an entertainment activity during festive festivals or in temple fairs to pray for "the peace of the country and the people, and good weather".
Da Lian Xiang is generally suitable for playing in the square. It has graceful movements, relaxed and lively, and has more than 20 rhythmic playing methods.
