Introduction to Flower Drum Opera: Flower Drum Opera has been widely circulated and has a deep mass base in the Mian District of Quantang, Pinghu. There is a local saying, "If you don't watch the Flower Drum Opera in your later life, you will die in dryness when you grow old." This reflects the role of Flower Drum Opera in the Mian District of Quantang, Pinghu. What an impact there is. At that time, the famous Huagu opera artists included: Tang Da Afa, Sanxing, Mr. Yang Da, Xiao Tuozi, Lu Shuangfu and others. Since the 1830s, there have been 28 famous Huagu Opera artists. At the beginning of this century, there were three famous Huagu troupes in Pinghu: Zhang Dailao, Gao Guisheng and Li Shunyuan. By the late 1920s, Zhang Caixia (Zhang Lao) and Gao Fengying had become rising stars. In 1956, the cultural department discovered Lin Jianrong and Lin Sanguan, old Huagu Opera performers who had returned to their fields to work in farming, in Qiangang Township and reorganized their performances. When Pinghu County established a folk art troupe in 1958, the "Pinghu Flower Drum Opera Troupe" was established.
